A Tale of 2 Books
Choose your publishing path for the right reasons. In the comparison below, the self-published author chose her path for the wrong reason: She thought it would save her money. That is a BAD reason to choose a publishing path if you fail to factor in potential ancillary costs. (Do not assume that these costs are typical; this is what these authors chose.)
It’s not that one of these authors did it “right” and one did it “wrong.” It’s that one did what she did FOR THE WRONG REASONS, and thus did not end up with some of the results she wanted or expected.
